PC World, the UK’s leading chain of computing superstores, announces the launch of a new promotion that includes a free up front or heavily discounted laptop for every customer that signs up to an 18 month Mobile Broadband subscription from 3.
Mobile Broadband is delivered using a dongle, a small USB device that connects laptops to a high-speed mobile network. Download speeds on the 3 network are capable of reaching up to 2.8 Mbps, equivalent to speeds on many conventional fixed line Broadband networks.
Glenn Orchard, Head of Commercial Development, PC World says: “The difference with this laptop offer is that it comes with a Broadband connection that truly fulfils the portable potential of a laptop. It’s great for those customers who do not require, or have access to a fixed landline telephone, as the Broadband is delivered via the mobile network. We’re delighted to offer this deal, which is another market breakthrough for PC World.”
Customers signing up can choose from a range of over ten highly specified laptops (examples below), some of which are offered free up front as part of the deal and others which are available at a heavily discounted cost. The discount is equivalent to up to £350. Customers who sign up to the agreement pay £35 a month for their tariff to take advantage of subsidised laptop offer.
